Congratulations Paul and Pernille

WOW - what an event - a wedding and weekend that i will never forget.........

We arrived in Sweden on Friday 6th - Mr V's 1st flight and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We took the coach from Malmo Airport to Copenhagen Central and walked the short distance to the Absalon Hotel, where we met up with Gazza n Nikki and later on with the PL crew in the Irish Rover Pub which turned into a night of drink, chat, drink, food, drink, chat and no hangover!

The day after we all jumped onto the coaches that took us to the 2nd hotel and the Castle (which is haunted). We all had a little explore and then went to get changed and ready for the wedding. The ceremony took place on the terrace of the castle gardens infront of a fountain that overlooked the grounds and a lake.

We then had a short get together whilst the photo's were taken and then into the diningroom for a 6 hour plus dinner!!!!

YES I DID SAY 6 HOURS !!!!!!!!!!!!

That was fantastic and we all got a little tipsy from all of the wine that we drank during the meal and between courses and throughout the toasts and speeches. The Danish customs were great and something that would be a pleasure to adopt for English weddings.

After the meal we had a huge firework display and then cut the cake, from there the fun started as the band was already set up and ready to PARTY!!!!!! We all had plenty to drink and danced the night away until 4am .

Congratulations Paul and Pernille - may you both have a long and happy life together..... Oh and BRING ON THE PL JNRS !!!!

Live Poker - Sunday 11th March

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Went to the local Circus Casino in Stoke to play in the £20 + £5 scalp double chance freezeout.

There were 5 Plers there Myself and Mr V, DaftPegasus, Jones12345... and Robilar.

I had a disastrous tourney where I won 1 hand throughout and finished approx 29th out of 54 , but the others were still in and we managed to have 2 PLers on the final table with Daftpegasus finishing 6th in the money and Mr V in 3rd- wahooooooooo.

As I went out so early I signed up with Jones12345 for the evening £20 turbo and finished 2nd.

It turned out to be quite a profitable night for us.

Fun With Friends

I had a great time out with very good friends on Sunday.

We played some poker, had a bite to eat and there was plenty of booze flowing.

I even managed to win an STT - against a right shark! :p

Nice to catch up before Christmas thanks for being there.

I HAVE LEGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can walk!

After my operation on my right hip - I can now walk and run wihout any pain. (Admittedly I am still on the nerve blocking and anti-inflammitory drugs).

I should have been out of hospital the day after my op -Friday, but could not put any weight on my foot let alone through my leg or hip. I ended up staying in until the Monday, when the physio made sure that I could get up and down the stairs with a crutch.

Coming on with leaps and bounds literally and fingers crossed will continue to do so in the future with =out any medication.

Thanks to all of my friends at Punters Lounge for your flowers (Paul and soon to be Pene Ross), cards, and messages of love and support.

A BIG THANK YOU TO MY HUSBAND FOR ALL OF THE RUNNING AROUND, ALL THE MILES TRAVELLED TO VISIT, THE SUPPORT, THE SHOULDER TO CRY ON (and my choccies). XXXXXX

Update

Well the STTs are'nt going too badly - in profit (just) each day.

I have the odd day where I will play 3 games in a row and come 3rd 2nd and 1st - nice profit. Then the next day i'll play 3 and place in 1 if i'm lucky. :0(

My Venture into STT's

I have never been any good at playing STTs.

My last attempts lost me a quarter of my bankroll that I had to win back via the cash tables.

I decided at the weekend that I would try again as they have the $3+30c tables on Sporting Odds

On the 21st I played 3 5 seater tables - and was $5.40 down. I switched to 10 seater tables on the 22nd and played 3 games and was now back to being 30c down.

Yesterday I played 4 10 seater tables and am $25.50 up.

I think that I'll stick to the 10 seaters as out of the 7 10 seaters that I have played I didn't place in only 1 of them - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee here I go.

Dream Poker $15000 Freeroll

Well what a tourney this turned out to be, we had been playing for 2 hours when the tourney was stopped so that Prima could reset the tourneys that were running. We were kept waiting for just over an hour when the tourney re-started at Level 1 !!

I finished 34th in this (at 0210 ffs) for what I thought was $108 - I checked my dreampoker account to find that i hadn't been paid the $108 that was shown in the lobby.

I had been paid $72 as per the table below as I fell into category 2. AAAARRGGHHH!!!

$15,000 is being paid out into 3 categories:

1. Registered players (No deposit required) = $5,000
2. Deposited players (If you have made a deposit) = $10,000
3. Anyone with 10 DreamPoints (Deposited and accumulated 10 DreamPoints between 13th September until the tournament starts at 13:00 EST) = $15,000
